Pheasant hunting on South Dakota's Shangrila ranch is truly a bird hunter's dream. Our 2000 acre ranch is managed entirely for wildlife and particularly for Ring-Neck Pheasant. By combining corn, grain fields and food plots with tracts of natural cover and CRP for nesting and protection from predators, we provide the ideal habitat for pheasant.

Water is abundant with lush green meadows all along with the Cheyenne River and Slate Creek which are open year round. The cattle on the Shangrila Ranch are restricted from all hunting areas all year every year, and we take great pride in our predator control.

Your private pheasant hunting experience will be on some of the most beautiful land South Dakota has to offer. The lush, shrub-filled banks of the twisting Cheyenne River, the natural meadows full of prairie grass, corn fields, and food plots provide excellent cover for the Ring-Neck Pheasant. You and your hunting group have the option of what type of terrain to spend your time on - or try them all! The choice is totally up to you.
